There are two types of pressure hose available for draft beer installations: The standard 5/16" I.D. red vinyl hose is used in low-pressure applications under 50 PSI. Braided vinyl hose is used in high-pressure systems exceeding 50 PSI such as blender installations. Color easily identifies the gas line from the beer line. Transparent hose is preferred by some breweries as it allows for visual detection of beer back-up or moisture from pressure flow.
